More than 3,000 women from the North-West Zimbabwe Conference of Seventh-day Adventists gathered at Mapfumo Campsite in Gokwe, Zimbabwe, from 7–10 October 2026 for a Women’s Ministries Congress centred on spiritual growth, purpose, and mission.
Organised by the conference’s Women’s Ministries department under director Mrs Carolyn Charumbira, the congress was held under the theme “Rooted in Grace,” with the accompanying emphases “Growing in Purpose” and “Ignited for Mission.”

The theme traced a progression from personal faith to active service. “Rooted in Grace” highlighted dependence on God as the source of spiritual strength, “Growing in Purpose” focused on meaningful Christian living, and “Ignited for Mission” called participants to take their faith beyond themselves to reach others.
The four-day gathering also gave women from congregations across the conference the chance to build friendships, encourage one another, and share a sense of belonging. Participants described the congress as a blessing.
The strong attendance reflected the reach of Women’s Ministries in the conference and the vital role women play in sharing God’s love through their homes, churches, and communities.
