The “Voices That Impact” project was launched by the Women’s Ministries of the Northeast Angola Union to empower women through spiritual growth, nutrition, and practical skills.

The Women’s Ministries of the Northeast Angola Union recently held a special seminar marking the official launch of the “Voices That Impact” project, bringing together approximately 100 women in an environment of learning, inspiration, and mission commitment.

The gathering stood out as a significant moment of female mobilisation, focused on the spiritual, social, and community strengthening of participants, in alignment with the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s mission to promote holistic human development.

Spiritual Leadership and Mission Commitment

The program featured a message from Pastor Teixeira Mateus Vinte, represented during the morning session by Pastor Osvaldo Yambi. The spiritual message emphasised the role of women as agents of transformation within the family, the church, and society, encouraging participants to take an active role in Christian service.

The approach reinforced the importance of discipleship and female leadership as essential elements for sustainable growth in local communities.

Regional Reach and Interterritorial Collaboration

The event was attended by departmental leaders from the Northeast, East, North, and South Luanda Missions, as well as representation from Cabinda. Their presence underscores a shared commitment to implementing the project across various regions, fostering unity and cooperation.

This strategic coordination will enable the initiative to reach a broader audience, expanding its social and spiritual impact.

Practical Actions and Women’s Empowerment

Planned actions include the establishment of a nutrition and food security centre, training programs for mothers, and initiatives focused on women’s empowerment. The goal is to equip women with knowledge and skills that will help improve their families’ quality of life and enable them to actively contribute to community development.

The project also encourages entrepreneurship and autonomy, strengthening women’s roles as agents of positive change.

A Symbol of Mission and Hope

As a symbolic gesture of the commitment made during the event, each participant received a seed. This act represented the mission to cultivate values, bear fruit, and impact other lives through the actions developed from the project.

The “Voices That Impact” initiative emerges as a practical response to the challenges faced by many women, reaffirming the Church’s commitment to serve, empower, and transform lives through love in action.
