Six years after purchasing three Adventist books from a literature evangelist visiting his hospital, the former Clinical Director of Camacupa Municipal Hospital, Angola, has been baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Filipe Helena Sabino Wanga, a registered nurse known locally as Dr. Philip, bought The Great Controversy, The Story of Redemption, and Last Day Events between 2019 and 2020, when colporteur Paulo Domingos Kanganjo visited the hospital as part of a literature evangelism campaign in Bié Province. On that visit, Kanganjo sold more than 40 books to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare workers at the hospital.

Wanga was baptized on June 19, 2025, at Macedonia Seventh-day Adventist Church, where he now serves as an active member. Kanganjo, however, did not learn of the baptism until more than a year later.

On July 1, Kanganjo received a message from Wanga:

"Mr. Paulo, I am now living in Cuito. By the way, the books The Great Controversy, The Story of Redemption, and Last Day Events that I bought from you helped me tremendously. Today, I am a baptized member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Thank you for selling me those books that completely changed my life."

For Kanganjo, the message stands as one of the greatest rewards of the colporteur ministry. Beyond selling books, colporteurs sow seeds that may take years to produce fruit.
