A two-week evangelistic campaign in Maun, Botswana, has resulted in 112 baptisms, following months of preparatory Bible study work by five Bible workers and thirty volunteers.

The IMPACT for Maun campaign ran from 14 to 26 June 2026 as a partnership between the Botswana Union Conference (BUC), the North Botswana Conference (NBC), and California-based supporting ministry The Quiet Hour Ministries. The campaign established five evangelistic sites across Maun, and combined public evangelistic meetings with home visitation, Bible studies, prayer ministry, literature distribution, and community outreach.

Five Bible workers, joined by thirty volunteer "Foot Soldiers," visited homes, conducted Bible studies, prayed with families, and distributed literature including Steps to Christ and Voice of Prophecy Bible lessons. The Bible workers had begun serving in Maun in April 2026, laying groundwork for the June meetings.

Botswana Union Conference Personal Ministries Director Pastor Bosenakitso Chabale said the outcome reflected the strength of coordinated partnership.

"The partnership between the Botswana Union Conference, North Botswana Conference, and The Quiet Hour Ministries demonstrates what God can accomplish when the Church and mission partners unite around a common purpose," Chabale said. "The 112 baptisms are evidence of the Holy Spirit's work and encourage us to continue investing in evangelism and discipleship."

Among the campaign's most striking baptismal moments was the joint baptism of an elderly couple with their granddaughter, three generations of a single family entering the water together after weeks of attending meetings and studying the Bible.

The campaign also included the baptism of Ms. Bezuba Hiyandonba, 74, who embraced biblical teaching after systematic Bible studies, and Molebedi Galebolokwe, a young volunteer who had initially helped decorate one of the campaign venues before joining the evangelism team himself. He was baptised after his own spiritual transformation.

The campaign's influence extended beyond those who intentionally attended. A security officer stationed at one of the evangelistic venues later testified that the nightly presentations gave him a clearer understanding of Scripture than he had previously experienced. A combi driver contracted to transport worshippers between meetings said he too had been deeply moved by the messages he overheard while waiting for services to conclude.

In addition to the evangelistic programming, the campaign held health expos offering free health services to local residents. Evening presentations used screen projection to make the biblical content more accessible to attendees encountering the teachings for the first time.

Follow-up work is ongoing. The five Bible workers remain in Maun through the end of August 2026, conducting follow-up Bible studies, visiting newly baptised members, and engaging additional interests that emerged during the campaign.
