Lusaka, Zambia — The Southern Zambia Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists has concluded its quinquennial business session with the election of officers and departmental directors who will guide the Union’s mission through 2030.

Vanny Munyumbwe was elected to serve as President, bringing his wealth of experience to lead the Union’s strategic vision for the next five years. Joining him in the executive team are Goliath Naini as Executive Secretary and Robert Himambo as Chief Financial Officer, forming a leadership trio tasked with advancing the church’s mission across the territory.

The session saw the appointment of departmental directors who will oversee key ministry areas. Silas Chabala was elected to lead Ministerial Affairs, while Moses M Banda will direct Publishing ministries. Earlymay Chibende takes the helm of Women’s Ministries, and Kayongo Ndala will oversee Stewardship initiatives.

In financial administration, George Zulu was elected as Financial Officer, working alongside the executive team to ensure sound fiscal management. Youth Ministries will be led by Highten Hamweene, while Evans K Manjimela assumes responsibility for Personal Ministries. Muntanga Mapani was elected to direct Health Ministries, reflecting the church’s commitment to holistic ministry.

 Their mandate extends to 2030, aligning with the church’s global strategic priorities and the needs of the local membership. The elected officers and directors will be officially installed and begin their administrative duties in the coming weeks.
