What began 30 years ago as a small discipleship initiative for children and adolescents has produced its most striking spiritual moment yet: the baptism of more than 20 young people at the club's 30th anniversary celebration.

The Heroes of Faith Pathfinder Club, based at the Km 12B Seventh-day Adventist Church in the North Angola Mission, marked three decades of ministry with a mission-focused programme that drew members, alumni, families, and church leaders from across the Northeast Angola Union Mission.

The baptisms were the anchor of the day. More than 20 young people publicly committed their lives to Christ following a process of discipleship, spiritual nurture, and mission engagement developed through the club's ministry over the years. For church leaders, the numbers reflected the true measure of the club's legacy, not recreational or educational activity, but young lives shaped for the mission of the Gospel.

The celebration carried added significance with the attendance of Pastor Teixeira Vinte, President of the Northeast Angola Union Mission and one of the club's co-founders. His presence provided an opportunity to reflect on the club's journey from its founding in the mid-1990s and on the growth of Pathfinder ministry as a platform for evangelism, discipleship, and youth leadership development across the Union.

Over three decades, the Heroes of Faith Pathfinder Club has served hundreds of children, adolescents, and young adults, inspiring them to develop a personal relationship with God and to actively participate in the mission of the Church. Church leaders say the results witnessed during the celebration reflect a wider movement among Adventist youth within the Northeast Angola Union Mission, where young people are increasingly engaged in evangelism, community service, and the proclamation of hope.

As it enters its fourth decade, the club continues to draw from the guiding purpose that inspired its founders: to save from sin and guide in service, with the anniversary baptisms serving as evidence that the mission remains alive across the generations.
