Eighty-five people were baptised in Angola's Cubango Region on 16 May, following a week-long series of Biblical Conferences across the Menongue ecclesiastical district. Among those baptised were 33 inmates from the Menongue Penitentiary Service.
Eighty-five people were baptised and received into the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Angola's Cubango Region on Saturday, 16 May, marking the close of a week of Biblical Conferences that reached both the wider community and the local prison population.
Among those baptised, 33 were inmates held at the Menongue Penitentiary Service, while 52 others came from surrounding communities.
The baptismal ceremony was officiated by District Pastor Adriano Delfim Feka, who described the occasion as a spiritual harvest, the direct fruit of conferences held across the district between 9 and 16 May.
The conferences were led by pastoral students from the Adventist Faculty of Theology of Bongo, in Huambo Province, deployed as field ministers in training under the theme "Freed by the Truth."
Pastor Feka said the baptisms represented the fulfilment of the Great Commission, citing Matthew 28:19–20, and noted that the campaign demonstrated the gospel's reach beyond social and physical boundaries. "The message of salvation knows no walls," he said.
