The Seventh-day Adventist Church has baptized 2,588 people across the provinces of Benguela and Cuanza Sul, Angola during a one-week evangelistic campaign known as "Evangelistic Impact," held June 27-July 4.

The announcement was made by Bonifácio Manuel Tchiombe, executive secretary of the Angola Coastal Mission.

Five districts within Cuanza Sul Province recorded more than 200 baptisms during the week. South Seles, led by Maximino Kapusso, recorded the highest number of baptisms with 307 people publicly committing their lives to Christ.

As part of the discipleship emphasis promoted by the Angola Coastal Mission, church leaders stated that these figures represent more than 2,500 new disciples whose lives have been transformed through Christ, families touched by the gospel, and communities strengthened spiritually.
