The Madagascar for Christ campaign has concluded with the baptism of 566 people, following a four-day health fair that treated more than 9,000 patients and eight days of evangelistic meetings across Antananarivo and its surrounding areas.

The campaign was led by Adventist World Radio (AWR) International under its president, Pastor Jim Howard, with the participation of the Indian Ocean Union Conference (IOUC), the Central Madagascar Conference (CMC), Madagascar's Ministry of Health, and partners including the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA). It had been in preparation for several months, and was designed to combine medical care with biblical teaching.

The first phase ran from 25 to 28 August at Barea Mahamasina Stadium, where a large health fair offered free consultations and services. Around 600 international and local volunteers — doctors, nurses, health professionals, and translators — worked across the four days to receive and treat patients. By the close of the fair, more than 9,000 people had been seen.

The second phase moved into neighbourhoods and communities around the capital. For eight days, evangelistic meetings were held at numerous sites under the theme "The Key to Biblical Prophecy," with each evening's presentations addressing prophecy, salvation, hope, and the second coming of Christ.

AWR leaders and staff took part directly in the evangelistic meetings, working alongside IOUC and CMC pastors, health professionals, translators, and church members. That collaboration allowed the campaign to reach across multiple sites simultaneously.

The baptisms took place on Sabbath, 5 September, at the various evangelistic sites, with 566 people choosing to be baptised at the close of the eight-day series.

For the organisers and local congregations, the campaign's conclusion marks the start of a new phase. The IOUC, CMC, and local churches are now tasked with welcoming and supporting the newly baptised members in their faith journey.
