The South West Malawi Conference (SWMC) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church has acquired a 20-hectare piece of land in Dagalasi village, Traditional Authority Kasisi, Chikwawa, for an animal husbandry project. Proceeds from the project will be channelled into supporting gospel outreach in areas not yet reached by the Conference.

"The proceeds from this project will be a leap forward for our Conference," said Pastor Wyson Thomas, SWMC President. "We will be able to take the gospel to areas that have never heard the message before, and support our churches in reaching more people for Christ."

The project will involve breeding and rearing livestock.

Witnesses to the land purchase included Pastor Wyson Thomas, SWMC Chief Financial Officer, Pastor John Hope Kumwenda, members of the Development Committee, Chikwawa District Pastor Jesman Phiri, and the village headman.

The Conference plans to begin infrastructure development and operations soon, with the goal of making a positive impact in the community while advancing the gospel message across its territory.
